Hello everyone, this is Ory Shihor, founder of PTPA here in LA. I am so excited to announce that I will be a featured artist at the 2019 Music Teachers’ Association of California (MTAC) State Convention this coming June in Santa Clara.
Each year MTAC hosts the State Convention, bringing together world-class artists, music educators and students to celebrate music performance and composition. Over 8,000 attendees experience a four-day extravaganza filled with seminars, performances, recitals, presentations, and master classes.
This year, I will be performing a program of Beethoven sonatas, conducting a concerto masterclass and presenting two seminars on how to ace your college piano auditions – One talk specifically for piano teachers and the other for piano students and their parents.
In my seminars, I will be talking about how to choose a well-balanced audition program, how to learn new repertoire from scratch in a way that’s effective and efficient so you can be ready for your auditions on time. I will also share with you some pro tips on how to get ready on your actual audition day so there will be no surprises!
So if you are a classical pianist, teacher, or student, you don’t want to miss this talk and all the other wonderful and educational events in this convention. I hope to see you guys there!
